We’re working with a fast‑paced, friendly IT solutions business to find an experienced 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join their close‑knit team. This is a technical, varied role supporting SMEs across the UK and internationally on IT and telecoms solutions. If you take pride in a first‑time fix, enjoy working across a diverse client base, and want to keep developing your skills in a supportive environment – this is worth a look. The role is fully office‑based with one client visit per month to a site in Horsham.

Responsibilities

  • Providing technical support via phone and ticketing system across a diverse SME client base
  • Leading small to medium projects from start to finish
  • Implementing complex resolutions within SLA – zero‑trust and least privilege at the forefront
  • Monitoring, triaging and responding to security alerts using Microsoft Sentinel and the M365 Defender suite
  • Supporting Cyber Essentials+ compliance – evidence collection, remediation tracking and controls implementation
  • Managing patch compliance across endpoints and servers and driving remediation to agreed targets
  • Supporting Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning including backup/restore testing and documentation
  • Working with senior engineers to identify recurring incidents and implement long‑term fixes
  • Supporting change management aligned to ITIL best practice
