Main Purpose of Job: To deliver high-quality fabric maintenance, repair, and installation services while ensuring safety, compliance, and excellent customer care.

  • Carry out a wide range of fabric maintenance and repair tasks (e.g., carpentry, painting, tiling, plastering, flooring, glazing, fencing, brickwork).
  • Complete installations and inspections as required.
  • Fault find and rectify issues across fabric-related works.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, clients, and customers.
  • Communicate clearly with customers, line management, and office support staff.
  • Provide courteous and professional service to uphold the company’s reputation.
  • Demonstrate commitment to customer care at all times.

Team / Skill Specific:

  • Fire door repairs and inspections.
  • Plasterboard and sanitary ware repairs.
  • Lock fitting and repairs.
  • Building and repairing furniture.
  • Guttering maintenance and repairs.
  • Safe use of plant and equipment.
  • Work at height, including use of access equipment (IPAF/PASMA desirable).
  • Willingness to travel to various locations.

Administration / Reports:

  • Comply with company policies and safety rules.
  • Maintain records of completed works as required.
  • Ensure company vehicle is driven responsibly and in line with the Highway Code.
  • Cooperate with line managers and comply with statutory provisions or site rules.

Minimum of 4 years’ practical experience.

Technical Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

  • Relevant industry qualifications (apprenticeship, NVQ, or equivalent training programme).

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written).

Qualifications:

  • Working at height certification.
  • IPAF / PASMA certification.
  • Additional specialist fabric maintenance skills beyond core requirements.
