Main Purpose of Job: To deliver high-quality fabric maintenance, repair, and installation services while ensuring safety, compliance, and excellent customer care.
- Carry out a wide range of fabric maintenance and repair tasks (e.g., carpentry, painting, tiling, plastering, flooring, glazing, fencing, brickwork).
- Complete installations and inspections as required.
- Fault find and rectify issues across fabric-related works.
- Maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, clients, and customers.
- Communicate clearly with customers, line management, and office support staff.
- Provide courteous and professional service to uphold the company’s reputation.
- Demonstrate commitment to customer care at all times.
Team / Skill Specific:
- Fire door repairs and inspections.
- Plasterboard and sanitary ware repairs.
- Lock fitting and repairs.
- Building and repairing furniture.
- Guttering maintenance and repairs.
- Safe use of plant and equipment.
- Work at height, including use of access equipment (IPAF/PASMA desirable).
- Willingness to travel to various locations.
Administration / Reports:
- Comply with company policies and safety rules.
- Maintain records of completed works as required.
- Ensure company vehicle is driven responsibly and in line with the Highway Code.
- Cooperate with line managers and comply with statutory provisions or site rules.
Minimum of 4 years’ practical experience.
Technical Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
- Relevant industry qualifications (apprenticeship, NVQ, or equivalent training programme).
Soft Skills:
- Ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines.
- Good communication skills (verbal and written).
Qualifications:
- Working at height certification.
- IPAF / PASMA certification.
- Additional specialist fabric maintenance skills beyond core requirements.
