We’re looking for a Dyno Test Technician to join our Engine Department. This is a key technical role responsible for preparing and running our engine test facilities, ensuring our power units are ready to perform on the world stage. As a Dyno Test Technician, you will operate and maintain our state-of-the-art engine dyno facilities, supporting the development, calibration, and validation of high-performance engines. You will work closely with our engine engineers to test and refine powertrain performance to the highest of motorsport standards to maximise performance.
The role and responsibilities include:
- Prepare and install engines and powertrain assemblies on dyno rigs.
- Running of all new and re‑built engines.
- Changing the physical test cell configuration to run different specifications of engine.
- Set‑up and calibration of the gauges and measuring equipment.
- Putting engines through dedicated testing routines, to prove out; performance, reliability, and durability.
- Ensuring all testing records are documented and up to date.
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed during testing operations.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a self‑motivated team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude. The ideal candidate will be:
- Educated to a high technical level and have a thorough understanding of engine mechanics and their systems.
- Able to follow technical instructions and interpret engineering drawings and test plans.
- Practical understanding of data logging, sensors, and ECU interfaces.
- Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail.
- Skilled in multitasking and prioritising workloads in a time sensitive environment.
- Excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for problem solving.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
- Computer literate with strong MS Office skills.
Preferred Experience
Previous hands‑on experience in a dyno or engine testing environment (motorsport, performance automotive or similar).
