The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of residential property transactions from instruction through to settlement, while providing a high standard of client care and legal advice.

Residential Conveyancing Solicitor to join our busy and growing team at our Paisley office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of residential property transactions from instruction through to settlement, while providing a high standard of client care and legal advice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a full caseload of residential conveyancing transactions, including purchases, sales, remortgages, transfers of title, new-build transactions, and discharges.
  • Providing clear and practical legal advice to clients throughout the conveyancing process.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating conveyancing documentation and correspondence.
  • Liaising effectively with clients, estate agents, lenders, developers, and other solicitors.
  • Conducting title examinations and resolving title-related issues.
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and anti-money laundering requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate records and utilising case management systems efficiently.
  • Contributing to the continued growth and development of the firm's residential property department.

Requirements

  • Qualified Scottish Solicitor holding a current practising certificate.
  • Preferred 2 years’ post-qualification experience in residential conveyancing, however, would consider NQ applicants who have had a residential conveyancing focussed Traineeship.
  • Strong knowledge of Scottish property law and conveyancing practice.
  • Ability to independently manage a busy caseload while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, client care, and organisational skills.
  • Commercially aware and proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in legal case management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
