MSL is a leading provider of specialist insurance products and services across motor, taxi and learner driver markets. We’re growing, and we’re looking for a Business Development Manager to develop key relationships, win new opportunities and drive sustainable growth, underpinned by strong FCA/Consumer Duty standards.

What you’ll do:

  • Build, manage and grow relationships with brokers/partners to deliver new business
  • Identify and convert new opportunities across existing and emerging markets
  • Lead commercial negotiations and support the implementation of new partner agreements (with Legal, Underwriting and Compliance)
  • Use MI and Salesforce to manage pipeline, track performance and improve decision-making
  • Bring market insight, competitor intel and partner feedback to support product/proposition development
  • Represent MSL at broker meetings, events and conferences
  • Ensure distribution activity aligns with target markets, fair value and good customer outcomes

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven track record in business development within insurance and/or motor claims
  • Strong knowledge of broker distribution
  • Confident working to FCA regulation and Consumer Duty expectations
  • Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills
  • Commercially minded: understands profitability, not just volume
  • Strong communication skills and a structured approach to reporting/KPIs
  • Experience in motor/taxi/learner or niche markets is a bonus (not essential)
