The Salesforce Administrator will support the day-to-day running and continued improvement of the organisation's Salesforce environment.

The role combines operational administration, user support and the delivery of solutions using Salesforce Flow and standard configuration.

The successful candidate will work directly with users to understand requirements, investigate issues, build and test changes, and help people use Salesforce effectively.

The role will work across a broad Salesforce estate.

Strong core Salesforce administration and declarative skills are more important than previous experience with every product we use.

  • Handle routine Salesforce administration and support.
  • Design, build, test and troubleshoot Salesforce flows and other declarative configuration.
  • Gather and clarify requirements.
  • Create useful reports and dashboards.
  • Test changes and support users through user acceptance testing.
  • Recognise when a change is high-risk, code-related or requires architectural input, and elevate it at the right point.
  • Operational Support
  • Handle user requests, day-to-day issues and configuration-related defects.
  • Manage users, profiles, permission sets, roles, queues, sharing rules and access.
  • Create and update reports and dashboards.
  • Investigate automation, data, access and reporting issues.
  • Use SOQL to investigate and validate Salesforce data.
  • Maintain objects, fields, record types, page layouts, validation rules and other configuration.
  • Answer user questions and help people use Salesforce effectively.
  • Provide user training and guidance, including training for engineering teams where needed.
  • Support day-to-day Marketing Cloud Advanced administration, including segments, campaigns and emails.
  • Support finance-related Salesforce configuration, including products, price books and related processes.

Build straightforward and moderately complex solutions using Salesforce standard configuration and declarative tools.

  • Design, build, test and troubleshoot Salesforce flows.
  • Configure custom objects and fields.
  • Create validation rules, record types and page layouts.
  • Configure profiles, permission sets, roles and sharing rules.
  • Build approval processes and other standard automation.
  • Create reports and dashboards that answer business questions.
  • Test changes thoroughly and support user acceptance testing.
  • Recognise when developer or architectural input is required.

  • Experience with Revenue Cloud, Marketing Cloud Advanced, Data Cloud or Agentforce would be particularly valuable.
  • Experience working in an established Salesforce environment with legacy configuration or technical debt.
  • An understanding of Apex, triggers, Lightning Web Components or Salesforce APIs.

Certifications Required

  • Salesforce Certified Administrator One or more additional certifications would be useful, particularly:
  • Salesforce Certified Business Analyst
  • Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder
  • Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator

Candidates are not expected to hold several consultant certifications. Relevant practical experience should be considered alongside certification.
