About MSI

MSI Reproductive Choices is one of the world’s leading providers of sexual and reproductive healthcare. We believe that everyone should have the right to choose. From contraception to safe abortion and life-saving post-abortion care, we are committed to delivering compassionate, affordable, high-quality services for all. Today, our organisation has around 10,000 team members working in 36 countries across the world. Our success lies in the fact that MSI teams are locally led, entrepreneurial and results-driven, and are passionate about delivering high quality, client-centred care in their own communities. As a social business, we focus on sustainable delivery, efficiency, and funding models that are built to last, so that the women and girls we serve today will have a choice in the future too.

We know that access to reproductive choice is life changing. For some, it can mean the ability to complete an education or start a career. For others, it means being able to look after the family they already have. For everyone, it means the freedom to decide their own future, creating a fairer, more equal world.

About the Department

The Global Funding, Innovation and Impact (GFII) Department brings together four strategic functions- Government Partnerships, Strategic Partnerships, Trusts & Foundations, and Global Philanthropy, working alongside two specialist thought-partnership and execution teams: Evidence and Impact, and Business Development and Innovation. This role sits within the Global Trusts & Foundations team: a full-time, permanent position based in London, with occasional travel.

The function has two related remits. The first is to develop and steward MSI's relationships with core private donors in the UK & Europe, ensuring effective oversight of their funds, excellent funder relationships, and programmatic excellence aligned to strategic priorities. The second is to support the Head of Philanthropy and wider Trusts & Foundations team to diversify MSI's funding base by opening new markets and donor audiences and growing private philanthropic investment, in line with the MSI 2030 strategy. The role will be based in MSI’s Global Support Office (GSO) in London. MSI operates a hybrid working policy with all GSO staff expected to be in the office for a minimum of two days a week.

About the Role

The Advisor role is a new role within the UK & Europe Trusts and Foundation team which is part of the wider Global Trusts and Foundations team at MSI. Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, UK & Europe, this is a pivotal, delivery-focused role at a heart of a fast-paced, high-performing fundraising team. Working closely with the Head of Philanthropy UK & Europe, the Advisor will split their time approximately 60/40 between grants and portfolio management and supporting the Head of Philanthropy with new business development.

On the grants side, they will manage a diverse foundations portfolio across the region, supporting donor stewardship and ensuring gold-standard grant management - coordinating approvals and high-quality reporting in close partnership with country programmes, Regional Support Teams, and MSI's International Operations, Finance, and Evidence and Impact teams. This role is ideal for a highly proactive self-starter who takes initiative without waiting to be asked, instinctively moves things forward, and is keen to learn and develop in the role. Now is an especially great time to join MSI Reproductive Choices, as this role plus two others will join the global funding and innovation team!
