ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Active NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)
- Minimum 6 months' recent UK nursing home or mental health care experience
- Right to Work in the UK
- No restrictions on working hours
- Valid Practical Life Support training
- Valid Practical Manual Handling training
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience supporting individuals with mental health needs
- Commitment to providing safe, compassionate and person-centred care
THE ROLE
As an Agency Registered Mental Health Nurse, you will provide high-quality, person-centred nursing care to residents and service users within nursing and care settings.
- Providing safe and compassionate mental health nursing care
- Assessing, monitoring and documenting residents' physical and mental wellbeing
- Administering medication safely and in accordance with procedures
- Supporting individuals with their mental health and emotional wellbeing
- Identifying and responding appropriately to changes in behaviour or presentation
- Following individual care plans and risk assessments
- Promoting dignity, independence and choice
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date clinical records
- Supporting safeguarding and infection prevention procedures
- Working effectively with Healthcare Assistants, nurses, GPs and the wider care team
- Escalating concerns and changes in residents' wellbeing appropriately
