Overview

We are partnered with a global pharmaceutical organisation seeking a Technical Project Manager (12‑month contract, with potential extension) to join their Digital Technology Patient Solutions (DTPS) team. This role sits at the intersection of technology and scientific delivery, leading technology‑driven projects that support patient‑focused research and innovation. You will act as the bridge between digital teams and scientific stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and to a high quality standard.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing end‑to‑end technology projects within complex, regulated environments
  • Ability to operate across both technical and non‑technical teams, translating requirements into actionable delivery plans
  • Strong experience in project planning, risk management and stakeholder communication
  • Comfortable working across full project lifecycles, from initiation through to deployment and optimisation
  • Experience collaborating with IT security and compliance teams

Hard Skills

  • Project management within IT infrastructure and/or system integration environments
  • Oversight of system deployments, upgrades, migrations and decommissioning
  • Development and management of detailed project plans, timelines and resource allocation
  • Risk identification, mitigation planning and issue resolution
  • Reporting on project progress, governance and compliance requirements
  • Documentation management and process optimisation, including automation where applicable

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders

Qualifications

  • HNC, HND or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
  • Typically 5+ years’ experience in technical environments (e.g. IT infrastructure, systems integration)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in project management roles
  • Relevant project management or technical certifications are advantageous
