We are seeking an experienced Senior HTA Manager to join our client's UK & Ireland Market Access team. This role is instrumental in supporting our mission to make medicines more affordable and accessible for patients. You will collaborate closely with global, regional, and local cross‑functional colleagues, spanning market access, commercial, medical affairs, HEOR and vendor partners, to lead end‑to‑end reimbursement activities for key assets. The role involves delivering high‑quality HTA submissions (NICE, SMC, NCPE), driving pricing strategy, shaping the external access environment, and guiding evidence‑generation to support asset value propositions.
Key Responsibilities:
- HTA Strategy & Delivery: Lead complex HTA submissions to NICE, SMC, and NCPE from initiation to final recommendation. Establish and steer core HTA working groups, defining strategic direction and securing internal sign‑off. Source, interpret and generate clinical and economic evidence to support robust submissions. Manage timelines and ensure all deliverables meet internal and agency deadlines.
- Cross‑Functional Partnership: Partner with medical, commercial, HEOR, and global teams to align evidence generation with market access strategy. Lead engagement with HTA agencies throughout the reimbursement process. Contribute to and champion above‑brand HTA and environment‑shaping initiatives.
- Health Economics: Support the design and development of health economic models; manage technical vendors as required. Provide expertise on RWE studies, economic modelling, evidence synthesis (SLRs, NMAs, ITCs), and pricing activities. Identify and mitigate areas of uncertainty to optimise the likelihood of positive HTA outcomes.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate complex economic concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences. Build and maintain strong internal and external networks across the HTA, HEOR, and market access community.
Requirements:
- Postgraduate degree in Health Economics, Outcomes Research, or related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in market access and HTA submissions (NICE & SMC required).
- Proven experience developing HTA and market access strategies, ideally in oncology.
- Strong understanding of the UK&I healthcare landscape.
