About the role
We are looking for an experienced Interim HR Manager to support our HR function on a rolling contract basis. This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who can hit the ground running, manage day-to-day HR activities, and contribute to specific HR initiatives or projects. This role will work closely with the senior management team to ensure HR compliance, manage employee relations, and support the development of a positive and high-performing work culture.
The main responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the first point of contact for all managers and employees on HR issues
- Leading on complex employee relations matters including grievances, disciplinaries, and appeals
- Coaching and supporting line managers on people management best practices
- Developing and maintaining HR policies, ensuring compliance with regulations and consistent application across the organisation
- Supporting and guiding the Talent Acquisition Manager and HR & Office Administrator
- Assisting and contributing to specific HR initiatives or projects
- Coordinating with the Payroll Manager and benefits providers to ensure accurate delivery
- Producing reports on headcount analysis; absence management and staff turnover as required
- Any other such duties that may be reasonably compatible with the nature and scope of the role
About the person
To be a successful candidate for this role you must be able to demonstrate the below attributes and skillsets:
- CIPD qualified at level 5 or level 7
- In-depth understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices
- Demonstrated experience managing ER cases and supporting managers at all levels
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and deliver outcomes without extensive supervision
- High level of discretion, confidentiality, and integrity
