Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) provides life-saving emergency relief and longer-term medical care to some of the most vulnerable and excluded communities around the world. Position

MSF UK is looking for an archivist with project management experience and a passion for humanitarian work.

  • Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri
  • Duration: Fixed Term Contract (18 months)
  • Location: London - hybrid, 2 days per week in London office (including Wednesdays)
  • Salary: £59,739.12 - £73,014.48 per annum

Job Purpose:

The role is responsible for planning, scoping, organising, and implementing the delivery of the MSF Archives Project under the direction of the Steering Committee.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Essential skills:
  • Proficiency in archival science and records management
  • Knowledge of born-digital records
  • Understanding of records access
  • Proven experience in project management
  • Subject background in humanitarian work
  • Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Budget Management: Ability to manage the project budget
  • Problem-solving: Ability to proactively identify and resolve issues
  • Other Skills: Strong project management and leadership experience
  • Required Experience and Qualifications:

    • Accredited qualification in archives and records management, or relevant work experience
    • Proven experience in project management
    • Experience in digital file management and/or archiving projects
    • Experience working in humanitarian or non-profit organizations (desirable)
