Can you help us deliver our mission? Are you as passionate about preventative healthcare in the livestock sector as we are? We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team of Ruminant Veterinary Advisors to promote best practice use of our health care solutions, including an extensive portfolio of ruminant biopharma and monitoring products.

You will provide specialist veterinary expertise on all aspects of our Animal Health ruminant products and product markets, working alongside regional sales colleagues to stimulate market growth and increase market share for the ruminant portfolio, especially within designated key customers. You will also build working relationships with regional key opinion leaders (KOL's) and stakeholder organisations to promote preventative healthcare.

In the fulfilment of this position, it is expected that duties will require a significant amount of time travelling within your region, which may in some circumstances require overnight stays away from home.

Responsibilities:

  • To provide a support service to external customers of our Animal Health business, including:
    • Development of consultancy services, especially in the area of data and monitoring technology.
    • Being responsible for our customer’s perception of the technical team as the experts in the market areas in which we participate.
    • Support customers with technical positioning and differentiation of our products and disease solutions to maximise livestock productivity.
    • Investigation of pharmacovigilance cases in order to resolve in such a way as to retain customer confidence in our company and its product portfolio.
    • Answering queries regarding products and large animal health/welfare in general.
  • To provide support to the regional sales managers and their teams with an aim to contributing to the sales activity, including:
    • Collaborating with regional sales colleagues to identify areas for maximum potential sales growth, and then both develop and implement effective territory and customer plans to realise this.
    • Calling on customers both independently and with internal sales colleagues.
    • Delivering presentations to customers and their clients to detail our products and solutions.
  • To develop networks of benefit to our Animal Health business, including:
    • Developing working relationships within the GB agricultural industry, to include regional stakeholders and KOL's.
    • Development of relationships with key academic institutions e.g. Universities, Agricultural Colleges in order to keep the company at the forefront of developing technologies.
  • To provide our Animal Health business with comprehensive in-house technical training at various levels to ensure that all staff are trained to their necessary level on the relevant products and markets.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required:

  • UK recognised Veterinary Medicine degree essential and Membership of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
  • Significant experience with ruminants in a UK veterinary practice environment.
  • Experience of implementing disease prevention programmes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for dealing with a wide range of customers and team members.
  • Excellent communicator (verbally and in writing) clearly and succinctly demonstrating customer centricity at all times.
  • Quick to learn and adapt; ready to learn and ask lots of questions, demonstrating a growth mindset.
