The Oncology Healthcare Lead (OHL) position is for a passionate individual, who can take the complex and make it simple, and who thrives working in and across a matrix organisation. Our mission in the Oncology Business unit is to ensure that eligible UK patients have sustainable access to our portfolio of indications. This role provides an exciting opportunity to enhance your customer facing skills and lead and create opportunities which help ensure patients have every chance to receive optimal treatment, and to go beyond the product to enhance our aspirations to become a trusted and leading Oncology partner.
The role is responsible for understanding and collaborating to solve for pathway and capacity challenges, and leading system transformation and strategic partnerships, in line with our Pan Tumour Treatment Rate and brand strategies. The territory for this role is from Sheffield to Newcastle.
The OHL is accountable for the implementation of the regional market access plan for Oncology. The OHL will build trusted, collaborative relationships and partnerships with relevant stakeholders in their region by understanding their specific needs and priorities and aligning those objectives with those of the Oncology Business Unit. A variety of strategies will be developed and employed, to build meaningful partnerships with regional customers, to achieve genuine win-win outcomes for our company, the NHS and patients.
Key Activities- Customer insights, planning & understanding - Understand the regional environment, stakeholders, brand priorities and tailor collaboration opportunities with current and future indications accordingly.
- Opportunity assessment (incl horizon scanning) - Understand/Identify collaborative opportunities within key accounts to improve treatment rates and develop strategic collaborations that shape the local environment, deliver on customer priorities and promote our interests in the area.
- Scoping, planning and delivering projects to optimise patient pathways and expand NHS capacity.
- Oncology strategy and portfolio insights & tailoring - identify opportunities for collaboration with the NHS. Utilise intelligence to shape franchise strategy.
- Delivery of Advanced Budget Notifications when required.
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge and understanding of the regional health economy, public and population health priorities to identify business opportunities and risks to inform strategic planning in the locality.
- Strong project management and organizational skills to ensure delivery of initiatives against agreed outcomes and timelines.
- Outstanding understanding of NHS and broader health landscape, alongside an ability to make this knowledge relevant to the wider business with outstanding network and communication skills.
- Ability to independently make trade-off choices to fit a product/service within portfolio while developing or implementing a strategy.
