Job Description

The Associate Marketer (AM) is part of a diverse team of relevant subject matter experts and should be responsive to the business needs to support the implementation of the UK strategic & tactical plan. They will work across multiple indications at different stages of the product lifecycle within the Oncology Business Unit. The AM will report into the Strategic Marketing Lead.

Key activities:

  • Understand the needs of our customer base; information requirements, format, channel preference and influencers
  • Work with the Marketing team and Centralised Digital Marketing team to interpret insights and develop operational brand plans with omnichannel customer engagement plans
  • Build therapeutic and product knowledge
  • Adopt the L3 Next framework to ensure consistent planning with robust analysis and execution of campaigns aligned to strategy
  • Lead responsibility of marketing‑led customer‑centric campaigns, ensuring delivery against strong KPIs and performance measures
  • Work with the cross‑functional team to ensure delivery on operational plans
  • Work with Agile principles and support the cross‑functional team to achieve this effectively
  • Provide innovation through testing new marketing channels, new types of content and new channel execution strategies
  • Manage the ABPI certification of content via the Medical‑Legal approval process
  • Agency management
  • Campaign budget management

  • Embrace a growth mindset, utilising a test and learn approach to develop and refine customer engagement strategies, tactics, measurable deliverables and ROI
  • Ability to digest complex clinical information and interpret its relevance to UK market
  • Create and analyse insights to better understand the value we can deliver to patients and oncology communities

  • Communicates confidently - strong verbal, written and presentation skills

Skills & Experience

Essential Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare or related marketing roles
  • Strong analytical, organisational and project management skills
  • Working knowledge of the ABPI Code of Practice

Desirable Experience or exposure within Oncology therapy areas
