12-Month Governance, Privacy and Capabilities
Student Placement offering hands-on experience in compliance, privacy, capability-building, business transformation, and cross-functional project delivery. The Governance, Process Assurance and Capabilities (GPAC) team brings together the UK Business Practices (BP), Medical Ethics & Integrity (ME&I), Privacy, and Foundational Capabilities functions. The team is responsible for governance frameworks, privacy, SOP management, process assurance, compliance with the ABPI Code of Practice, and employee capability development.
As part of GPAC, you will support initiatives that strengthen compliance, simplify processes, enhance capability-building, and enable colleagues across the organisation to deliver high-quality work to the highest standards.
This role will be based in our modern state-of-the-art co-working facilities in Moorgate, London. This site, at the heart of London provides fantastic amenities, support services and collaborative workspaces with convenient transport links.

Responsibilities
- Develop an understanding of governance, process assurance, privacy, compliance, and capability-building activities within a leading healthcare organisation.
- Support the delivery of compliance, governance, and privacy initiatives that help ensure adherence to internal policies, industry regulations, and the ABPI Code of Practice.
- Contribute to business improvement projects by supporting the adoption of innovative technologies, process simplification, automation, and AI-enabled solutions.
- Assist in the design and delivery of training and capability-building programmes to help colleagues develop the knowledge and skills required to perform their roles effectively.
- Partner with Medical Affairs, Corporate Affairs, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to deliver strategic projects and build strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
- Participate in patient engagement and other cross-functional initiatives, while taking on stretch assignments to support personal and professional development.
Requirements
- You must be currently studying at a UK university and will be looking to complete a 12-month student internship as part of your undergraduate degree.
- Working towards a B.Sc. in life science, Pharmacy or equivalent healthcare qualification
- Project management skills, with experience delivering initiatives from start to finish against clear goals and objectives.
- Strong planning and organisational skills.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and IT skills.
- An interest or previous experience in governance, process assurance, compliance, privacy, or training, with a willingness to learn and develop in these areas.
