As the New Business Development Manager Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in driving the sales growth of our Livestock Monitoring portfolio, with a strong emphasis on acquiring new business opportunities across Great Britain. You will lead a dedicated national team of six direct reports, focusing on developing and executing strategic sales initiatives that align with our company's vision and market demands. Your leadership will be instrumental in cultivating a high-performing sales culture that emphasises innovation, collaboration, and results-driven performance.
In this position, you will provide strategic direction and mentorship to your team as they identify and pursue new business leads, build relationships with prospective customers, and effectively communicate the value of our products. Key Responsibilities:- Team Leadership and Management: You will lead a team of New Business Sales Managers, providing comprehensive mentorship, targeted coaching, and support to empower them to excel in their roles. This will involve setting clear performance goals and expectations, conducting regular performance evaluations, and delivering constructive feedback to facilitate their professional growth.
- Sales Budget: This role is responsible for delivering a dedicated sales budget through successfully acquiring new business opportunities across Great Britain. You will work in close collaboration with the Customer Success team to ensure a seamless transition for new clients.
- Performance Metrics Tracking: You will work closely with the Finance and Marketing teams to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales initiatives.
- Lead Referral Partnerships: You will be responsible for maximising the potential of our lead referral partners by collaborating closely with the Veterinary and Trade channel sales teams.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: You will collaborate proactively with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Customer Success, and the EURAM regional team, to align strategies and enhance overall business performance.
- 5-7 years of proven experience in a customer-facing role, including team management, with strong leadership skills and a customer-centric mindset to drive results.
- Enthusiasm for agriculture and technology, with a deep understanding of the dairy livestock industry.
- Good leadership and communication skills both orally and written.
