Your Key Responsibilities: As a Revenue Technology Specialist, you will be responsible for: System Management for Revenue Recognition : Operate, maintain, and improve the systems that support Revenue Recognition processes, ensuring they are compliant with ASC 606 standards or IFRS 15. System Enhancements : Lead the identification, development, and implementation of system enhancements that automate and improve the accuracy and efficiency of Revenue Accounting and FP&A operations. Cross-functional Collaboration : Work closely with Business (finance, sales, sales operations, product, client services, etc.) and IT teams to translate Revenue Accounting requirements into technical solutions. Ensure smooth integration of financial systems with other financial and operational platforms. Compliance and Audit Support : Ensure that the systems supporting revenue processes are compliant with internal controls and regulatory requirements, including SOX cycles, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and audit protocols. Training and Support : Provide technical guidance and training to finance and IT teams on the systems and processes supporting Revenue Recognition. Act as the go-to expert for system-related inquiries and troubleshooting. Continuous Improvement : Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in revenue systems and processes, leveraging new technologies and best practices to optimize performance. Stakeholder Communication : Communicate system updates, enhancements, and issues to senior IT leadership and key stakeholders within the finance and business departments. Your skills and experience that will help you excel: Technical Expertise in ERP Systems : Extensive experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft, Oracle) focused on Revenue Recognition. Experience in integrating with complementary business applications such as Salesforce, Concur, Vertex, or Workiva is helpful. Revenue Accounting Knowledge : Familiarity with Revenue Recognition processes under ASC 606 or IFRS 15, specifically from a systems and automation perspective. Experience with Revenue Recognition modules like SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR), RevPro, or Aptitude RevStream is helpful. Programming Experience : experience with data management and programming for data manipulation or automation (e.g. Power Automate). Knowledge of a standard programming language (e.g. C#, Java, Python) is a plus. Project Management : Proven experience in managing global large-scale IT projects, particularly those involving financial systems implementation or upgrades. Cross-functional Collaboration : Ability to effectively collaborate with finance, business, and IT teams to deliver technology solutions that meet business requirements. Systems Integration : Strong understanding of systems integration principles, particularly as they relate to financial reporting and revenue management systems. Compliance and Security : Knowledge of SOX compliance, internal controls, and system security requirements as they pertain to financial systems. Problem-solving Skills : Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and provide efficient solutions. Communication Skills : Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: Masters in Technology-related Preferred Experience: 5-8 years of strong operational experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
