Your Team Responsibilities:
The Production Shared Services (PSS) function is responsible for the seamless and timely delivery of MSCI products and services to clients across multiple business lines, including Index, Analytics, and Sustainability Climate. The work is highly time-sensitive and business-critical, requiring exceptional accuracy, judgment, accountability, and collaboration. The team operates on a global follow-the-sun model across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas.
Key responsibilities of the team include:
- Enterprise Production Operations: Accurate and timely delivery of workflows across multiple business units.
- Incident Management: Identifying and resolving production issues, coordinating with stakeholders, and contributing to root cause analysis and permanent remediation.
- Client Case Handling: Managing production-related queries and tickets, ensuring prompt resolution in partnership with global teams.
- Change and Release Readiness: Supporting testing, deployments, and governance for product enhancements and new releases.
- Business Continuity Resilience: Safeguarding uninterrupted operations and ensuring readiness for critical events.
- Automation AI Enablement: Leverage automation tools and AI-assisted workflows to drive initiatives that modernize, scale, and improve production processes across business units.
Your Key Responsibilities:
As a Real Time Index Production Associate, you will play a critical hands-on role in ensuring the stability, accuracy, and timeliness of index production workflows. You will:
- Execute daily real-time and end-of-day index production processes, ensuring delivery within strict deadlines.
- Perform data validation and exception analysis on market data inputs, corporate actions, and index outputs.
- Investigate production alerts, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions under limited guidance from senior team members.
- Partner with stakeholders across Product, Technology, and Client Services to align priorities, resolve issues, and improve delivery efficiency.
- Lead incident and problem management efforts, ensuring permanent remediation and embedding technology-driven solutions.
- Leverage AI-driven tools (e.g., anomaly detection, AI-assisted log analysis, and LLM-based copilots) to proactively identify production issues, accelerate incident triage, automate data reconciliation, and enhance the accuracy and efficiency of operational reporting.
- Continuously rethink and redesign production workflows by embedding AI and automation, challenging existing processes to reduce manual intervention, improve scalability, and drive smarter, more resilient operations.
- Ensure production readiness for product launches, methodology updates, and system enhancements.
- Contribute to global team discussions by providing input on production risks, dependencies, and readiness.
- Maintain documentation and contribute to best practices to support governance and enterprise standards.
Your skills and experience that will help you excel:
- 3 years of experience in data operations, production services, or financial data/analytics workflows (experience with Index Data Operations strongly preferred).
- Strong understanding of financial markets, index concepts, and corporate actions.
- Experience working in time-sensitive, SLA-driven operational environments.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel and SQL; working knowledge of Python or similar scripting language preferred.
- Practical exposure to AI-enabled tools (e.g., generative AI copilots, anomaly detection systems, API-driven automation tools) and demonstrated ability to use them to improve operational efficiency.
- Strong technical and operational mindset, with preferred experience in automation (Python, SQL, or similar), workflow orchestration, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Snowflake).
- Familiarity with workflow tools, dashboards, and monitoring systems.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to investigate data discrepancies and production exceptions.
- High attention to detail and strong ownership mindset.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of representing enterprise operations in global forums.
- Willingness to work in a global, shift-based environment supporting real-time production cycles.
