Your Team Responsibilities:

The Index UK Structured Products & QIS team is responsible for supporting the design, development, and adoption of MSCI index-based structured products and systematic investment solutions across the UK market. The team works closely with UK-based investment banks, structured products desks, QIS teams, asset managers, and private banks to translate investor demand into index-linked notes, certificates, delta-one solutions, and systematic strategies. Acting as a bridge between clients and MSCI's internal Product and Research teams, the group ensures that MSCI indices are used effectively, consistently, and at scale in structured and rules-based investment solutions. The role sits at the intersection of index design, derivatives, and client structuring, supporting the full lifecycle from initial concept and index selection through to product launch and ongoing usage.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and adoption of MSCI index-based structured products and QIS strategies in the UK, working closely with sell-side structuring and QIS desks.
  • Act as a product and index specialist in client discussions, supporting index selection, payoff structuring, and solution design for notes, certificates, and systematic strategies.
  • Coordinate with MSCI Index Product, Research, and Methodology teams to support bespoke index requests, QIS-style strategies, and structured product use cases.
  • Assist with pipeline tracking, product mapping, and issuer engagement, ensuring smooth execution from initial idea through to product launch and onboarding.
  • Provide insight into UK structured products market trends, regulatory considerations, and competitive dynamics, helping to shape MSCI's index and QIS product roadmap.
  • Support internal and external education on MSCI index capabilities, including factor indices, thematic indices, volatility-controlled indices, and systematic strategies.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel:

  • Strong understanding of structured products, derivatives, and/or QIS strategies, with familiarity across equities, multi-asset, or volatility-controlled indices.
  • Solid foundation in financial markets and index construction, with the ability to engage credibly with structuring desks and quantitative teams.
  • Experience working with or alongside investment banks, structured product issuers, or systematic strategy teams.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical index and strategy concepts into practical product applications.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment, partnering with Index Product, Research, Legal, and Client Coverage teams.
  • Fluency in English, strong attention to detail, and comfort operating in a fast-paced, solution-oriented UK market environment.
