St Mary’s University is seeking an External Examiner for its Performance Football Coaching (Distance Learning) MSc programme.
The modules to be reviewed will include:
- Research Methods
- Skill Acqusition and Expertise
- Performance Coaching
- Leading People and Teams
- Strategies and Tactics
- Performance Sciences
Role requirements:
- Comment on the content of the subject area particularly with regard to subject benchmarks.
- Examine assessment briefs, examination papers, and student work to ensure academic standards and achievements of students are comparable with those in other UK Higher Education establishments of which the external examiner has experience.
- Provide informative comments and recommendations on whether the assessment process measures student achievement rigorously and fairly against the intended outcomes of the programme/s and is conducted in line with the relevant policies and regulations.
- Attend Examination Board/s and submit an Annual Report.
- Engage in communication with the academics and academic services teams.

Candidates should have relevant experience and subject knowledge, and should not have worked at St Mary's University, studied with us, or had any association with the University in the four years prior to appointment.
