Marine Planner Full time, permanent We are looking for someone who is passionate about innovation and maritime to play a key part in vessel coordination and optimisation at MSC.
Our vessels can dock at any time of day, so you will be on hand to ensure our operations are efficient, effective and support our sustainability plans.
How you will help us and what you can expect Typical contribution includes managing and coordinating booking figures, vessel schedules and ensuring vessels are planned to optimum capacity whilst taking into consideration the constraints of the vessels, cargo and ports.
Attention to detail is paramount in double checking all information and ensuring our performance is efficient and stable.
Further daily activities include: Effective communication with all stakeholders Ensuring all information provided is accurate- including data reporting Manage special cargo requirements Manage COD / Restow requests and following up with cost assignment Manage any partner’s allocations and follow up with final report to VSA department Manage vessel performance Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the Vessel Captains, Chief Officers, Port Planning Dept, Liners, Port Captains and Agents, ensuring effective communication at all times Escalation of key reportable issues Proactive cost anal...
