The finance process specialist will combine excellent leadership & soft skills with a high level of Microsoft 365 software development knowledge. They will lead finance projects, coordinating various departments to ensure the expected successful project outcomes are within the agreed timeline. The finance process specialist will implement time saving strategies utilising business change experience, combined with an ability to work with business stakeholders at all levels. The successful applicant will provide a link between the finance department and technical domains by bringing specialist process improvement knowledge, expert M365 technical knowledge, effective communication and opportunity identification to the role. They will collaborate with managers from various functions and HQ managers on projects that require cross-business impact.

How you will help us and what you can expect:

  • Collaborate with managers from various functions and HQ managers to implement efficiencies with a cross-business impact.
  • Creation and upgrading of financial Power BI reports using specialist knowledge of Power Query, DAX, relational data practices, and Power BI visuals.
  • Lead finance efficiency projects utilising exceptional communication with strategic planning of project tasks, timelines and stakeholders.
  • Gather data to allow prioritisation of initiatives within the transformation portfolio priorities.
  • Recommend and make decisions with accountability, often having a cross-business impact.
  • Deliverer – you will drive adoption of changes required to reach our transformation aims.
  • Making decisions on the best path forward for RPA processes & other finance systems and instructing IT on these decisions.
  • Study, review and support potential new finance systems.
  • Provide assistance with initiative documentation and training requirements within assigned initiatives.
  • Drive efficiencies into the core of our systems and processes with technical solutions and management of efficiency projects.
  • Assessing financial FTE impact for all finance departments and developing solutions to reduce FTE expenditure and lower financial risk.

Skills and experience you’ll bring to us:

  • Specialist process improvement experience including project management.
  • Key influencing skills to work cross-business at management level and above.
  • Experience developing & supporting BI products & initiatives that help deliver business benefits.
  • Strong DAX and Power Query skills within a Business Intelligence environment.
  • In depth knowledge of existing finance processes.
  • Advanced MS Office Skills (e.g. SharePoint, Power BI, PowerApps, Power Automate).
  • Experience working with process automation teams.
  • Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence; at all business levels.
  • Ability to learn and understand system functions and dependencies.
  • Ability to find improvements in processes and procedures.
  • Significant analytical skills, applying specialist knowledge to real-life situations.
  • Experience in the production of system documentation.
  • SAP experience is desirable.
