Job Description
Customs Clearance Coordinator
Full time, permanent
Due to continued growth we have a great opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic person to join our team. If you are looking for a secure and exciting career path, with the support network of a large company this is the position for you. As a Customs Clearance coordinator for MSC you’ll be working with our valued clients to ensure a personalised point of contact, offering a high level of customer service.
How you will help us and what you can expect
- To be responsible for producing high quality customs entries
- Ensure accuracy of information from importers, prior to completing the customs entry from clients instructions
- Maintain all files ensuring that any Duty & Vat entered through our Deferment are invoiced and funds collected prior to transmission of the entry
- Monitoring of Vessel arrivals and delivery dates to prioritise workload accordingly
- Develop business relationships with our clients, resolving any concerns and ensuring corrective action is taken
- Contribute towards the ongoing Company vision to increase the client base, revenue and profitability of the Customs product
- Working with our clients regarding any delays & potential cost implications
- Contribute ideas and discussions for department evolution
- Working within HMRC regulations
- Dealing with general enquiries from importers concerning all areas relating to customs procedures
- Offer a flexible approach to colleagues
Skills and experience you’ll bring to us
- Previous Import customs clearance experience preferred
- Knowledge of CNS and Destin8 preferred
- Ability to maintain high level of customer service
- Good numeracy, literacy, and IT skills, including Microsoft skills
- Attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
