Customer Service Coordinator – Commodities Bookings

Full time, permanent

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Export Customer Service Team. In this role, you will play a key part in the Customer Service life cycle and therefore you will need ensure all aspects of the role are handled efficiently and accurately, within the set KPI’s. Excellent communication skills are required, to support both internal and external Customers, answering enquiries quickly and professionally and supporting colleagues and their supervisor, as and when required.

How you will help us and what you can expect

  • Manage own workload, communicating effectively when support is needed
  • Processing work in-line with client requirements and MSC UK performance standards - resolving Customer enquiries quickly and professionally
  • Being the escalation point, for team Coordinators and Customers alike
  • To understand and work collaboratively with all internal departments as and when required
  • Ensure full recovery of all applicable costs, relative to your role
  • Work as a team player, contributing ideas to the team to help with efficiencies and/or service improvements
  • Deputise for the Supervisor when absent, ensuring that the team are looked after, workloads distributed evenly whilst achieving the teams KPI’s
  • Responsible for running KPI reports and discussing the findings through with the team as and when required
  • Supporting the team with training and coaching for new and existing members

Qualifications and Experience

  • Customer Service focused, passionate about providing a top service to MSC clients
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities
  • Attention to detail – high level of accuracy to minimise errors
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Competent with IT systems particularly the Microsoft Packages
  • Solution driven - able to take ownership of situations with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Effective time management skills, being able to meet deadlines
  • Team player - build relationships with other internal and external teams and functions
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task multiple demands whilst displaying resilience
