The Vacancy Are you highly organised, detail-focused and passionate about the future of our oceans? Would you like to play a central role in protecting the scientific integrity of the world's leading sustainable seafood certification program? If so, this could be the opportunity for you!
The Peer Review College (PRC) sits at the heart of the MSC program's credibility; every fishery assessment is scrutinised by independent scientific experts before certification decisions are finalised. As our Senior Assurance Officer, PRC, you will coordinate that process from end to end: this includes:
- preparing interview shortlists
- managing availability and conflict of interest checks
- distributing review documents and making sure peer reviews reach the right people at the right time.
You will work with leading fisheries scientists and certification bodies around the world, and you will help shape the digitalisation of our peer review operations, all within a professional, creative and informal working environment. We are looking for someone with excellent organisation and coordination skills and meticulous attention to procedural detail. You will be a confident communicator, able to build effective relationships with scientists, peer reviewers and Conformity Assessment Bodies, and comfortable managing multiple deadlines across a busy operational pipeline. Experience in assurance, certification or program administration is an advantage, and you will be enthusiastic about learning new digital tools as we automate and improve our processes.
