The Safety Superintendent is responsible for all matters of Safety for the ships to which they are assigned. They collaborate with the MSC fleet for matters related to safety on board, verify that all vessels are constantly maintained with high Safety Standards; monitor compliance of on-board equipment and procedures with Company Standards in relation to Fire Risk, Lifesaving and Fire-Fighting.

- Monitors daily operations aboard vessels to ensure strict adherence to company policies, maritime safety standards, and international regulations.
- Maintains consistent communication with the Ship's Master, Staff Captain, and Safety Officer to ensure the seamless operation and safety of vessels.
- Prepares and tracks annual budgets related to ship safety parts, ensuring cost-effective allocation and adherence to budget limits.
- Attends and oversees Dry Docking activities related to safety equipment and systems, ensuring full compliance with regulations and the maintenance of safety standards throughout the dry-docking process.
- Reviews and updates maintenance schedules based on findings from ship surveys, ensuring that corrective actions are implemented in accordance with safety requirements.
- Monitors the performance of audits and inspections concerning non-conformities, ensuring that all identified issues are addressed and resolved.
- Tracks, monitors, and ensures the timely completion of outstanding points and work items identified during safety inspections, ensuring prompt resolution.
- Manages the implementation, compliance, and continuous improvement of ISO 45001 standards.
- Develops and implements amendments to policies and procedures to ensure compliance with new regulations, legislation, and recommended practices following audits, third-party inspections, and Port State Control inspections.
