Your Purpose
The global security environment is increasingly volatile, complex, and unpredictable, presenting a dynamic and expanding range of risks to the cruise sector and wider maritime industry.
In parallel with the rapid growth of our MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys fleets, our senior leadership requires timely, accurate, and actionable intelligence for agile and effective risk-based decision-making to ensure the highest standards of protection for our guests, people, and assets, around the world.
For MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys, this function is delivered by the Fleet Intelligence Team, within the Security Department of MSC Cruises Cruise Management (UK).
Operating in a dynamic environment, the Fleet Intelligence Analyst is part of a team that delivers critical intelligence on security, geopolitical, and operational risks, driving informed decision-making and situational awareness across the Fleets and wider Company.
Reporting to the Head of Intelligence, and under the day-to-day supervision of the Associate Manager Intelligence & Data Analysis, the Fleet Intelligence Analyst plays a key role in the production and dissemination of intelligence products for a growing, diverse and global stakeholder base.
- Your Impact
- Uses all-source intelligence (including alert feeds, traditional and social media, and in-house sources) to monitor security incidents and trends, assessing the likely impact on staff, assets, operations, events, and reputation.
- Produces timely, concise, and operationally relevant intelligence products to support operational planning and crisis response with rapid intelligence analysis during incidents.
- Delivers geospatial and visual analysis using standard mapping tools and specialised maritime platforms.
- Delivers intelligence briefings to senior leadership and operational stakeholders, as directed.
- Maintains intelligence platforms and continuously reviews intelligence processes, methodologies, and data sources.
- Your Journey so far
- Practical experience with open-source intelligence (OSINT) methodologies, sources, and tools.
- Experience with analytical, intelligence, and data visualisation tools and software.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high-level of attention to detail.
- Previous experience in a security or intelligence role within the cruise or wider maritime sector (preferred).
- Sound understanding of maritime security and operational risk principles (preferred).
- Experience in statistical analysis and the clear presentation of data insights (preferred).
- Proficiency in Power BI and other Microsoft Office applications (preferred).

- The existing right to live and work in the UK.
- A minimum of five years’ professional experience in a risk intelligence role.
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant subject, or equivalent vocational qualification.
- Excellent written and spoken English (Level 5/5).
- A sound understanding of geo-politics.
