Overview

Based in the London office, this role is responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of Show & Multimedia dept. works across fleet dry dock and/or refit programmes.

The position oversees the execution of system upgrades, retrofits and refurbishments, ensuring alignment with company standards, operational requirements and dry dock schedules.

Acting as the single point of coordination between internal stakeholders, shipboard teams, shipyards and vendors, the role ensures effective integration within the overall dry dock programme.

It is accountable for scope, timelines, risk mitigation and technical compliance in support of the company’s onboard entertainment product.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and/or manage the design, installation, and commissioning of entertainment and multimedia systems for revamping projects, collaborating closely with the entertainment product team, managers, engineers, and travelers to ensure all solutions align with the company’s creative vision and operational objectives.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with shipbuilders, contractors, and internal teams to guarantee seamless integration of show and multimedia systems, while ensuring adherence to project timelines, budget constraints, and technical specifications.
  • Ensure full compliance with all safety and regulatory standards, including class society requirements such as RINA and Bureau Veritas.
  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to deliver systems that meet or exceed performance and quality expectations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between creative teams and the company’s SMT Technical Department, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and effective execution of shared objectives.
  • Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical challenges encountered during the newbuild process to ensure overall project success.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of project progress, technical specifications, and final system configurations to ensure a smooth handover to operational teams.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in show systems integration and multimedia technology.
  • Strong knowledge of audiovisual systems, automation, and rigging for live performances.
  • Familiarity with shipbuilding processes and maritime regulations.
  • Excellent project management skills, including budget and resource management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
  • Exceptional problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Proficient in CAD software and other relevant technical tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role involving technical management for large‑scale projects.
  • Experience in the cruise industry or shipbuilding environment.
  • Frequent travel to shipyards, offices and onboard vessels is required.
