MSC Cruise Management UK is looking for a driven UK or EU Qualified Commercial/Shipping Lawyer with experience in shipping and/or insurance, to join their busy Legal and insurance team. Candidates shall be able to handle a variety of commercial and contract-related matters in a shipping context and liaise with opponent lawyers, shipyards, insurers, agencies, ship command, and other departments.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Handles contract preparation and review – third party vendor contracts, shipbuilding/ship repair, and supply contracts;
- Assists in ship deliveries and the handling of guarantee issues;
- Acts as part of the Legal team in incidents and claims;
- Liaises with senior management and department heads;
- Assists with company secretarial duties;
- Reports directly to the VP, Legal;
- English as the first working language (knowledge of a second language, particularly Italian, would be an advantage);
- Experience in maritime law firms, shipowning, or marine insurance companies.
