Overview
This newly created position manages and supports the finance and administrative operations of the Medical, Public Health and Food Safety Department.
Your Impact
- Works with the CMO and relevant stakeholders to create and manage annual expenditure and revenue budgets and align financial decisions with organisational goals.
- Forecasts financial needs and allocates resources accordingly.
- Monitors financial performance and implements corrective actions as needed.
- Ensures compliance with company financial rules and all jurisdictional financial regulations.
- Prepares and presents financial reports to senior management and stakeholders as required.
- Oversees internal and external financial audits.
- Collaborates with the health informatics manager to analyse financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Develops systems to track and oversee billing processes, reimbursement procedures, and patient financial services.
- Collaborates with the CMO to manage relationships and negotiate contracts with all relevant providers to the Medical, Public Health and Food Safety Department.
- Implements cost-efficiency strategies and operational improvements.
- Develops and enforces financial policies and procedures.
- Stays updated with advancements in healthcare finance and implements new strategies.
Your Journey so far
- Strong background in healthcare finance, administration and business operations.
- In-depth knowledge of financial laws and regulations in the healthcare industry.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and strategic planning skills.
- Proficiency in the use of financial software and Microsoft Office including Excel.
- Experience using other finance and health electronic record related platforms is an advantage.
- Knowledge and practical application of digital data platforms such as Power BI is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience of or exposure to maritime medicine, public health and the cruise industry is a significant advantage.
