Your Purpose

We are looking for an experienced Artistic Manager to play a key role in protecting and elevating the artistic quality and creative vision of fleet entertainment across all MSC Cruises brands, including Explora Journeys. Based in Scotland with international travel, this role ensures world‑class entertainment is delivered consistently across the fleet, fully aligned with MSC’s creative standards and exceptional guest experience. You will lead and inspire a team of Rehearsal, Music, and Aerial Directors, establishing robust rehearsal and installation frameworks that maintain performance excellence while bringing new productions to life across multiple vessels. This is a unique opportunity to shape the creative delivery of entertainment at a global level, ensuring every show reflects the innovation, quality, and brand identity MSC is known for.

Your Impact

  • Serve as guardian of artistic intent across all production shows and theatrical experiences.
  • Ensure the maintenance and delivery of all approved creative concepts, including, but not limited to, direction, choreography, music, and staging.
  • Manage Production Bibles, Staging Bibles, and Production SOPs.
  • Identify and correct deviations from artistic standards.
  • Deploy creative teams for rehearsals, cast changes, and fleet rollouts, including but not limited to Rehearsal Directors, Music Directors, and Aerial Directors.
  • Coordinate with Travel Services and HR to ensure the Creative Teams’ travel and accommodation arrangements are managed.
  • Create and manage yearly cast changeover schedules in collaboration with the Casting Manager.
  • Set artistic benchmarks, rehearsal methodologies, and quality standards.
  • Oversee rehearsals, cast development, understudies, and show refreshes.
  • Shoreside representative for all theatrical captains (Company Manager, Dance Captain, Vocal Captain, Aerial Captain).
  • Conduct show reviews via onboard production and technical leadership, ship visits, video assessments, and reporting.
  • Create a reporting structure to keep all artistic elements in line.
  • Provide structured feedback, coaching recommendations, and retraining plans.
  • Collaborate with Casting, Production, Operation, and Shipboard leadership.
  • Special projects as assigned.

Your Journey so far

  • Proven experience in artistic direction, creative supervision, or production management.
  • Strong industry knowledge of dance, vocals, music, staging, and aerial disciplines.
  • Demonstrated leadership of creative and rehearsal teams.
  • Excellent communication, evaluation, and stakeholder management skills.

Your Essentials

  • Willingness to travel internationally.
  • 5+ years of entertainment and cruise industry experience with strong operational knowledge.
  • Proficiency in Business English and Italian is advantageous.
  • Strong computer literacy (Microsoft, Adobe, MOS).
  • Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Existing right to live and work in the UK.
