We are looking for an experienced and driven Head of Hotel Technical to join our UK Engine Department. You will be the first reference point for the Hotel Engineers and HVAC Supervisors, overseeing the Hotel Technical Fleet’s Operations and providing assistance for any kind of issue, liaising with external main stakeholders in case of need.
Cooperates in establishing, reporting and presenting operating costs, forecasts, progress updates and defines high-priority initiatives related to the Hotel Technical section. Monitors the status of the Ships through constant follow-up with Hotel Engineer and HVAC Supervisors. Provides support in developing and managing budgets, cost estimates and operational risks. Keeps records of equipment failures ensuring that the needed actions for the issues resolutions are promptly executed with the aim to avoid or minimize any impact on the guests’ experience. Performs ships’ rides to ensure that vessels are maintained to a high standard and are operated to all current regulations and Company standards. Supports the various Hotel Engineer and HVAC Supervisors in organizing and managing the dry-dock works and activities, supervises the selection of suppliers and ensures the suitable involvement of the Shipyard. Liaises with other departments (Hotel Operations, F&B, Products, etc.) to ensure full alignment on the various projects and activities which require cooperation with the technical team. Supervises the various Hotel Technical internal operational processes, including requests and purchase orders approval through INFOSHIP.
Your Journey so far: At least 10 years experience onboard cruise ships, at least 3 years as a Hotel Engineer or Chief Engineer.
Essentials:
- Good knowledge of INFOSHIP/Asset Management system
- Fluent English, oral and written
- MS Office tools knowledge (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work successfully as team leader
- Strong ability to prioritise and work effectively under tight deadlines
