This role provides key analytical support to a fast-paced commercial function, delivering insight, forecasting, and strategy to optimise revenue performance and support business growth. The Commercial Analyst will play a central role in data-led decision-making, working across multiple stakeholders to drive efficiency, improve performance, and identify new commercial opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Analyse multiple data sources to deliver insight into revenue, customer behaviour, and market performance.
- Produce detailed forecasts and budgets across volume, revenue, and yield, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Optimise revenue streams through robust analysis, identifying trends and forecasting performance against targets.
- Support pricing strategy by delivering actionable revenue data to maximise yield and inventory utilisation.
- Analyse demand patterns (new, existing, repeat business) and competitor activity to inform commercial decisions.
- Provide insight into wider market conditions, including economic and external factors impacting demand.
- Review business plans, identify performance gaps, and recommend proactive actions to meet capacity and revenue targets.
- Deliver clear, concise reporting and present findings to senior stakeholders, influencing decision-making.
- Work closely with finance teams to ensure accurate revenue allocation and robust performance reporting.
- Conduct ad hoc analysis on key commercial priorities and strategic initiatives.
- Develop a strong understanding of market dynamics to recommend appropriate competitive responses.
- Assess initiatives and opportunities, providing insight to support strategic planning and decision-making.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in a commercial analyst, revenue management, or forecasting role.
- Strong analytical capability with experience handling large datasets and applying forecasting techniques.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
- Experience presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of key business drivers and performance indicators.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with SQL and Power BI.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Proactive, inquisitive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Relevant analytical or numerical qualification.
- Knowledge of revenue management systems or tools.
- Experience analysing market, competitor, or economic data.
Location & Eligibility:
This is a hybrid role requiring 1 day per week at Leeds HQ. Applicants must have full UK right to work; visa sponsorship is not available.
Remuneration & Benefits:
