Job Description
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-impact project as a Data & Insight Analyst, contributing in a project capacity over an initial six-month period.
You’ll take ownership of key reporting and insights that inform operational and commercial decisions at the heart of a data-led, customer-centric Energy business. You’ll be analysing how customer activity – including debt – impacts the profit & loss (P&L), while working with detailed retail ledger data, such as sales, balances, payment histories, and defaults.
This role is perfect for someone passionate about transforming complex datasets into actionable insight, and helping shape future strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse how customer behaviours and debt trends affect the P&L
- Work with retail ledger records, including tracking of sales, balances, payment history, and defaulted payments
- Produce reports and metrics that reflect both financial performance and customer trends
- Support the development of strategic and analytical capabilities around customer and transactional data
- Provide real-time, proactive insight to drive smarter decisions
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure data is accurate and actionable
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in a data and insight-focused role
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel
- Experience with Power BI or Tableau (preferred)
- Confident with numerical analysis and strategic thinking
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders
- Ability to turn complex data into simple, meaningful insight
- Experienced developing analysis to understand correlations between financial transactions, customer propensities and payment histories (transnational retail ledgers) - desirable
- UK Energy sector experience - desirable
