This position represents a fantastic opportunity to join a growing analytics function and play a central role in shaping the organisation’s business intelligence and data capabilities. Working within Group Finance, you will design and deliver Power BI and Microsoft Fabric-based analytics solutions, transforming complex data into clear, actionable insight that supports strategic and operational decision-making across the business.

As a senior member of the BI team, you will help develop scalable reporting solutions, promote best practice in data modelling and visualisation, and support the continued adoption of self-service analytics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop and maintain enterprise-grade Power BI dashboards, reports and semantic models
  • Build and optimise data models using best-practice dimensional modelling techniques
  • Develop advanced DAX measures and calculations to support complex analytical requirements
  • Create intuitive and visually engaging dashboards that allow stakeholders to explore and interpret data effectively
  • Optimise report and dataset performance to ensure scalable and maintainable solutions
  • Contribute to the development of the organisation’s modern BI platform using Microsoft Fabric and the wider Microsoft data ecosystem
  • Work with data sources and pipelines including Fabric Lakehouse, Data Warehouse and Dataflows where applicable
  • Extract, transform and prepare data from multiple sources using SQL and Microsoft data tools
  • Develop automated pipelines and processes to support reliable and timely reporting
  • Analyse trends and performance data to generate meaningful insights and recommendations
  • Deliver both regular management reporting and ad-hoc analytical requests across the organisation
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into effective analytical solutions
  • Promote best practice in dashboard design, reporting standards and self-service analytics
  • Support and mentor junior BI analysts and contribute to wider data and analytics initiatives
Essential Skills
  • Strong experience developing Power BI dashboards, reports and semantic models
  • Advanced DAX skills for complex calculations and analytical measures
  • Solid experience using SQL to query, transform and integrate data
  • Strong understanding of data modelling principles, including relationships and hierarchies
  • Experience working with modern BI platforms such as Microsoft Fabric or similar cloud analytics technologies
  • Excellent data visualisation and dashboard design skills
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

This role offers a flexible working regime with hybrid working, typically two days per week in the office. Salary £55,000 - £60,000 plus benefits and excellent learning and development opportunities.
