This is a critical role at the heart of how our supply chain operates, ensuring products flow into our network accurately, efficiently and to the right standards. You will lead a small team, taking ownership of inbound compliance across suppliers, logistics partners and depots, shaping how we manage stock accuracy, supplier performance and payment integrity. Working across a wide network of stakeholders, you will use data, insight and sound judgement to drive improvements and resolve issues that directly impact availability and cost. Alongside the operational focus, this role plays a key part in the ongoing transformation of our supply chain, supporting how new systems, processes and ways of working land in day-to-day operations. It is a role with real visibility and impact across the network, where your input directly influences how we operate today and how we evolve for tomorrow. This is a role for someone who thrives in a fast paced, complex environment and is motivated by doing difficult things well. You will be close to the detail, supporting and developing your team while making clear decisions that matter, often in situations where there is no easy answer. If you enjoy using data to challenge, improve and drive standards, and are confident engaging with suppliers and stakeholders to make change happen, this is an opportunity to have a genuine impact.

What you'll do:

  • Lead inbound compliance performance across suppliers, primary distribution and depots, ensuring consistent standards are met across the network.
  • Develop and support your team, setting clear expectations and enabling them to deliver high standards of compliance performance.
  • Drive supplier performance through data, insight and engagement, resolving compliance issues and improving accuracy of inbound stock and payments.
  • Collaborate with logistics, finance, trading and supply chain teams to identify root causes and deliver continuous improvement in end to end processes.
  • Support network transformation activity, embedding new systems and practices into operational delivery.

Who you are:

  • Experienced in supply chain or operations with a strong understanding of compliance, product flow and supplier performance.
  • Confident using data and insight to guide decisions and influence outcomes.
  • Comfortable having direct, sometimes challenging conversations to uphold standards and protect performance.
  • Experienced in supporting or managing others, with a focus on clarity, consistency and team delivery.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.

What's in it for you?

  • 20% colleague discount on all M&S products and many third-party brands for you and someone in your household, available once you've completed your probation.
  • Competitive holiday allowance with the option to buy more.
  • Discretionary bonus schemes linked to your performance and ours.
  • Strong pension and life assurance to help plan for the future.
  • Tailored induction and training to support your development from day one.
  • Exclusive perks and savings through our M&S Choices portal.
  • Market-leading family policies, including parental, adoption and neonatal leave.
  • 24/7 wellbeing support, including virtual GP access and mental health services.
  • One paid volunteer day a year to support a cause that matters to you.
