About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Junior Cloud Engineer (Azure) to join a leading Security consultancy. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in designing, automating and maintaining secure, scalable cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. Working closely with software developers and engineering teams, you'll build and optimise CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure, and help deliver high-quality applications quickly and securely. Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support efficient software delivery.
- Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure within Microsoft Azure.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Develop scripts and automation to improve deployment and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with development teams to streamline build, release and deployment processes.
- Monitor, maintain and optimise cloud environments for performance, availability and security.
- Apply DevOps best practices to improve reliability, scalability and resilience.
- Troubleshoot deployment, infrastructure and application issues.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 1-4 years' experience in a DevOps, Cloud Engineer or Platform Engineer role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar platforms.
- Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
- Scripting skills using PowerShell and/or Python.
- Good understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking and security principles.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of Azure Monitor, Application Insights or similar monitoring solutions.
- Understanding of DevSecOps principles and security automation.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery teams.
