As a Senior Claims Specialist for the Reinsurance Liability lines, you will proactively manage claims from first notice of loss to settlement, ensuring superior service to clients and adherence to MS Amlin policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. You will act as a deputy to Claims Leadership, drive continuous improvement, and provide specialist knowledge to support business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the lifecycle of Reinsurance Liability claims, including FNOL, reserves, subrogation/contribution, settlement and cost control.
- Monitor early estimate reserves and ensure prompt settlement while maintaining tight cost discipline.
- Ensure all claims handling aligns with MS Amlin procedures, controls and regulatory requirements (Lloyd’s/FCA/PRA/J‑SOX).
- Role model open communication, collaboration and a culture of continuous improvement, sharing knowledge with teammates.
- Deputise for Claims Manager, Technical Claims Lead and other senior team members as required.
- Provide specialist knowledge and thought‑leadership to clients and internal stakeholders, offering data insights and reserving input.
- Partner with underwriters to craft compelling propositions, strengthen broker relationships and support client partners.
- Represent MS Amlin in the market, enhancing the firm’s reputation and fostering relationships with co‑insurers and service providers.
- Contribute to business modernisation initiatives and help transform the current claims proposition.

What You’ll Need
- Well‑reputed, proven experience in leading the market in resolving responsible claims worldwide, with strong relationships to experts, brokers and co‑insurers.
- Degree, CII or equivalent professional qualification (desirable) or willingness to pursue it.
- Firm understanding of London Market key principles and practices.
- Proficiency with the London Market Claims System, Microsoft Office (ECF, Excel) and portfolio/account management.
- Willingness to travel and attend client events.
