We are looking for an experienced Resilience Change specialist to augment our 'Resilience By Design' function which manages the delivery and embedding of resilience within our change framework. You will ensure our compliance with regulatory requirements and mature our resilience position within major change projects. As an insurance firm we simply won’t be able to function effectively without operational resilience capabilities. The team ensures we understand, respond and proactively strengthen our ability to withstand severe disruptions as well as mitigating critical risk factors.
This role will be focussed on embedding our existing resilience framework in specific major change projects, working collaboratively with stakeholders and partners. Your colleagues within the Resilience team each have a slightly different primary focus, with the same strategic goals. We are a collaborative and inclusive team who will raise up other team members and assist them with key deliverables within Cyber, Regulatory and Response and Resilience By Design.
What you’ll spend your time doing:
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure change initiatives across MS Amlin are resilient by design, including the identification of resilience benefits.
- Ensure all resilience documentation and approvals are in place, with resilience and BC arrangements for all stages of the project lifecycle identified, documented and tested.
- Review the impact of change on regulatory Op Res through IBS impact assessments.
- Support with relevant updates to Op Res artefacts e.g. mapping.
- Maintain the Op Res policy and embed the Operational Resilience framework, standards and practices, developing communications and training to support adoption, awareness and maturity within the business.
- Develop strong stakeholder relationships and support them in ensuring we collectively adhere to regulatory requirements: SMF24, Executive Management, Important Business Service (IBS) Owners, Critical Resource Owners and their teams, as well as business functions in Lines 1, 2 and 3, our service partners, market and regulatory bodies.
- Prepare MI and draft papers for internal reporting requirements e.g. Exec Committees and Project Steering Committees.
- Work closely with other team members to facilitate Op Res scenario testing across the change initiatives e.g. Go live testing. Ensure this is built into project roadmaps.
- Identify and deliver on synergies with other testing and risk assessment processes across change where possible.
- Identify and elevate any new resilience vulnerabilities or enhancements and prioritise remediation activities.
- Maintain the lessons learned log, working with stakeholders across the business to ensure enhancements are remediated and closed.
- Act as an internal subject matter expert and consultant to our business stakeholders.
- Support proactive horizon scanning to identify emerging regulatory developments and monitor industry trends, including peer activities and best practices, to inform strategic decision-making and ensure compliance readiness.
What you’ll need:
- Relevant experience within Financial Services, Insurance would be advantageous.
- Detailed knowledge of the Operational Resilience Policy Statements.
- Demonstrable experience in delivering resilience within Change using a structured methodology.
- Experience in delivering regulatory requirements.
- Good interpersonal, stakeholder and communication skills.
- Adept at building dynamic solutions and tools, from requirements through to embedding.
- Ability to construct succinct reports for senior managers while also tracking improvements in more detailed plans and processes.
