This role is part of the Regulatory Reporting team for Syndicate 2001. The team is responsible for all Lloyd's regulatory reporting requirements, delivering accurate and timely returns to meet Lloyd's timetable and management reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare Lloyd's regulatory returns with accurate and timely production.
  • Ensure returns comply with regulatory requirements and meet Lloyd's submission standards.
  • Improve processes and reporting as systems develop and business evolves.
  • Deliver financial reporting for MS Amlin Syndicate 2001 in line with Lloyd's timetable.
  • Substantiate returns through controls understanding and analytical review.
  • Understand return data generation, source systems and associated controls.
  • Perform analytical reviews to explain movements within financial accounts.
  • Challenge financial data inputs, integrity of information and examine movements within assigned areas.
  • Strengthen and enhance automated controls, identify and escalate key risks or data deficiencies.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders (actuarial, FP&A and finance operations) to obtain required inputs and analysis.
  • Participate in training and professional development initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Essential

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent accounting qualification.
  • Strong understanding of Lloyd's Market and recent experience of Lloyd's reporting requirements.
  • Strong controls and reconciliations experience.
  • Good analytical and communication skills to articulate insights.
  • Good organisational skills including scheduling, prioritisation and time management.
  • Experience in interpreting and manipulating data clearly and accurately.
  • Proven track record of working in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in financial software.

Desirable

  • Understanding of financial reporting and regulatory requirements specific to the insurance sector.
  • Experience or interest in automation of finance processes to meet accelerated timetables.
