Môrwell Talent Solutions is delighted to be recruiting for a Financial Accountant / Cost Accountant to join a manufacturing business based at their Newport site. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional with strong accounting fundamentals and an interest in cost accounting, manufacturing finance and business partnering.
The Role
Reporting to the Operations Controller, you will support multiple manufacturing sites and play a key role in monthly accounting, reporting and analysis. Responsibilities will include:
- Journal entries
- Product costing
- Plant cost reviews
- Inventory adjustments
- Variance analysis
- Reconciliations
- Forecasting
- Cost planning
- Audit support
- Fixed asset reviews
You will also act as a trusted finance partner to the Site Leadership Team, providing accurate insight, identifying areas for improvement and supporting productivity gains across the business.
About You
You will ideally have:
- An Accounting or Finance degree, or equivalent qualification
- Around 5+ years’ financial accounting experience
- Cost accounting experience, ideally within manufacturing
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Good knowledge of SAP, Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships across the business
