Môrwell Talent Solutions are working with an established and well‑respected manufacturing business that supplies to major global brands. The business is seeking an experienced Qualified by Experience (QBE) Accountant to join on a 6‑month temporary basis to cover a period of sickness. The role is due to start in the New Year, with interviews taking place in January and a comprehensive handover provided by the current Financial Controller. Throughout the assignment, the Financial Controller will remain available for support and guidance; however, this role requires a confident, hands‑on accountant who can take ownership of the full finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
- This is a true all‑round accounting role, covering both transactional and month‑end duties
- Full purchase ledger processing, including purchase order input, GRNs, invoice processing on Sage 50
- Production of management accounts through to trial balance and beyond
- Budgeting and forecasting support
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Fixed asset accounting
- Payroll calculations (based on clocking‑in cards and overtime calculations, liaising with HR)
- Preparation and provision of management information and ad‑hoc reporting to support the Managing Director
- Ensuring deadlines are met in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
Skills & Experience Required:
- Qualified by Experience (QBE) accountant
- Strong, broad accounting background within an SME or manufacturing environment
- Sage 50 experience highly advantageous
- Microsoft Excel skills to at least intermediate level (Excel used to produce the trial balance)
- Comfortable working to tight deadlines
- Confident, proactive, and not afraid to roll up sleeves and get stuck in
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to support senior management as required
Working Hours & Benefits:
- 36.5 hours per week
- Typical hours: 8:00am 4:00pm (flexibility on start and finish times)
- Early finish on Fridays at 2:00pm
- Office‑based role, Monday to Friday
- On‑site parking available
- Kitchen facilities for lunch
