About the Role
Môrwell Talent Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a growing FMCG business in Cardiff that is looking to appoint a Finance Analyst on a Fixed term Contract for 3 months.
As the Finance Analyst, you will play a key role in providing timely, accurate and robust financial analysis to the site operations team, enabling them to identify and track cost saving opportunities and financial risks, make financially sound decisions and deliver on their strategic objectives.
This position would suit someone who is immediately available for work, who can commit to the duration of the contract and who is happy to work in an office.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Operations Finance Manager, the Finance Analyst will
- Support the Operations Finance Manager in the preparation of the weekly P&L report and monthly management accounts
- Report on daily Operational Finance KPIs, highlighting key drivers of material and labour variances and helping to identify performance trends
- Accurately post of month end journals including site accruals and prepayments.
- Assist the Operations Finance Manager in the preparation of annual budget and quarterly forecasts
- Participate in site cost saving initiatives providing project owners with robust financial support, governance and challenge
- Carry out a daily review and resolution of finance system posting errors escalating issues as appropriate
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations for stock
- Assist with completion of external and internal audit tasks
- Work with peers within the across the Group to align processes and establish best practice across the Operations Finance function
- Carry out ad-hoc financial modelling/analysis as required
What We re Looking For
- Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills
- Experience in using accounting software/integrated ERP systems
- Able to prioritise multiple tasks effectively and work to tight deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills ability to liaise with both finance and non-finance stakeholders across the business
- Experience in FMCG or manufacturing industry beneficial but not essential
