Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of the end‑to‑end delivery of multiple complex, technically driven projects across engineering and manufacturing environments.
- Implement and maintain strong project governance, including risk management, reporting structures, and quality assurance processes.
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, covering budgets, cost control, key milestones, deliverables, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Maintain control of project scope, change management, and overall commercial performance.
- Act as the key point of contact between customers, internal engineering teams, and external supply partners.
- Align cross‑functional teams across engineering, operations, and supply chain to ensure seamless delivery.
- Oversee and hold third‑party suppliers accountable for performance, timelines, and quality standards.
- Support commercial objectives, including milestone tracking, invoicing triggers, and revenue delivery.
- Identify, manage, and escalate project risks and challenges in a proactive and structured manner.
- Ensure full compliance with ISO standards and established quality frameworks.
- Champion continuous improvement by capturing and applying lessons learned across programmes.
Requirements
- Proven track record delivering complex, engineering‑led projects within technically demanding environments.
- Experience operating within electronics, manufacturing, or other high‑reliability sectors.
- Strong grounding in project governance, financial control, and risk and stakeholder management.
- Ability to lead and coordinate cross‑functional teams across engineering, operations, and supply chain.
- Skilled in managing both customer relationships and supplier performance to ensure successful delivery.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project or equivalent planning tools.
- Experience within defence, aerospace, or other regulated industries would be beneficial.
- Familiarity with ERP systems within a manufacturing environment.
- Advanced Project Management certifications (such as PPQ or ChPP) are advantageous.
- Exposure to programmes involving embedded systems, RF technologies, or electronic hardware would be highly valued.
