Role Overview

This is a strategic hunter role designed for a commercially driven sales professional who thrives in a fast-moving electronics environment. You will take ownership of a defined territory, building long-term partnerships with customers while actively identifying new opportunities across the electronic component market. The role blends account development, territory expansion, and consultative component sourcing, positioning you as a trusted commercial partner for your clients. Initially based in the office for onboarding and product training, the role quickly evolves into a field-focused position, engaging directly with customers across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Territory & Account Development
    • Develop and manage relationships with existing customers within your assigned territory.
    • Identify and secure new business opportunities across OEM, EMS, and manufacturing accounts.
    • Expand share-of-wallet through proactive account management and commercial engagement.
  • Sales Strategy & Market Growth
    • Build and execute a territory sales strategy aligned with company growth objectives.
    • Analyse customer demand and component requirements to drive revenue opportunities.
    • Monitor market trends across the electronic component supply chain.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with internal sales teams and the Export Manager to maximise deal success.
    • Support customers with product enquiries, pricing, and sourcing requirements.
    • Maintain accurate reporting and pipeline management through the company's SAP system.
  • Customer Relationship Management
    • Deliver consultative sales support and responsive service to key accounts.
    • Strengthen long-term partnerships through regular client engagement and market insight.

Requirements

  • Core Experience
    • Minimum 2+ years of experience in sales or account management.
    • Strong relationship-building and commercial negotiation skills.
    • Proven ability to identify and convert new business opportunities.
  • Industry Knowledge
    • Understanding of electronic components and supply chain dynamics.
    • Experience selling into manufacturing, OEM, or distribution environments is advantageous.
  • Technical & Commercial Skills
    • CRM or SAP system familiarity.
    • Territory management and pipeline development.
    • Strong communication, adaptability, and problem-solving ability.
