We are looking for an Internal Sales Representative for a growing international business within the electronic test & measurement market.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys winning business, developing accounts and building strong customer relationships. You’ll manage a mix of existing and new customers, identify new sales opportunities, follow up on quotations and enquiries, and work closely with the field sales team to help drive revenue and account growth.
We’re looking for someone who is commercially minded, proactive, and confident speaking with customers. You don’t need to be an engineer, but an interest in technology and the ability to understand customer requirements will be important.
If you enjoy sales, like taking ownership of your accounts and want to build your career within a specialist technical market, this could be a very good opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop relationships with both existing and new customers, identifying opportunities to grow sales.
- Proactively identify, engage and onboard new customers, providing ongoing support as accounts develop.
- Prepare sales proposals and quotations, ensuring opportunities are followed up effectively and progressed.
- Manage customer opportunities from initial enquiry through to order and invoicing, involving the field sales team where required.
- Support sales growth through manufacturer promotions, marketing campaigns and targeted customer activity.
- Build strong relationships with key contacts across customers, prospects and manufacturing partners.
- Understand customer requirements, product availability and commercial considerations to help recommend the right solutions.
- Work closely with field sales, product management, procurement and logistics to provide a smooth customer experience.
- Introduce customers to new products, manufacturers and solutions that could support their requirements.
- Represent the business at relevant trade shows, exhibitions and roadshows.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity, opportunities and customer information within the CRM.
- Keep customer and prospect data accurate and up to date to support future sales activity.
Requirements
- A background in sales, business, customer service, or a technical environment would be beneficial.
- A genuine interest in building strong customer relationships and developing accounts.
- A proactive approach with the confidence to work independently and take ownership of your responsibilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to engage with customers.
- A positive team player who enjoys working collaboratively while managing their own workload.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and general business systems, with experience of CRM systems advantageous.
It's time to take it to the next level...
