The business partners closely with world-class manufacturers to deliver technical value, design support, and long-term supply continuity across industrial, automation, instrumentation, and embedded applications. This organisation is known for its engineering-led sales culture, long-standing customer relationships, and ability to support customers from early-stage design through to production and lifecycle management.
This is a hybrid Sales Engineer / Account Manager role with a strong commercial edge. You’ll take ownership of a portfolio of active accounts while also playing a key role in business development, opening dormant relationships and identifying new growth opportunities. This is a role for someone who enjoys being close to the customer, understands how engineers think, and knows how to turn design-in activity into long-term revenue.
- Account Management
- Own and develop a portfolio of existing customer accounts across multiple sectors
- Translate customer technical requirements into commercial solutions via principal partners
- Provide technical sales support during design and development phases to secure design-ins
- Manage quotations, negotiations, and commercial discussions through to PO placement
- Support post-sale delivery, customer satisfaction, and issue resolution alongside internal teams
- Maintain accurate opportunity tracking, forecasting, and CRM data
- Feed back market intelligence, customer insights, and competitor activity to the wider team
Experience within the electronic components industry (distribution, manufacturing, or solutions-led sales). Commercially confident with experience in quotations, negotiation, and account development. Comfortable managing multiple accounts and opportunities simultaneously. Self-motivated, curious, and driven to grow both accounts and market knowledge.
Salary up to £50,000 depending on experience. Strong internal support structure and collaborative sales culture. Long-term career progression within a stable, engineering-led organisation.
