We are recruiting a Business Development Manager to drive growth for a UK-based, CECC/BS-approved distributor and manufacturer of high-reliability electronic components. With over 50 years of technical expertise, the business supplies a broad component portfolio to demanding sectors including defence, aerospace, rail, and industrial markets. This role focuses on winning new business across the UK and representing the company to prospective customers. It suits a proactive, self-motivated professional with B2B technical sales experience and a strong understanding of electronic components or high-reliability supply chains.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Growth: Identify and secure new customer opportunities across OEMs, CEMs, and Tier 1 contractors
- Market Development: Explore and penetrate new markets and applications aligned with manufacturing and distribution strengths
- Lead Creation: Generate and qualify prospects through proactive outreach, networking, and industry events
- Customer Interaction: Organise and attend customer meetings, technical discussions, and product presentations
- Opportunity Management: Track and manage the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and CRM updates
- Cross-functional Working: Collaborate closely with product, sales, and engineering teams to deliver tailored customer solutions

Requirements
