A leading UK-based aviation technology manufacturer is seeking an experienced Aviation Sales Manager to lead and grow its global aviation sales function. The company designs and manufactures its products in-house and is recognised for delivering high-reliability ground support and electro-mechanical systems used across commercial, defence, and specialist aviation environments worldwide. With a strong engineering heritage, long-term customer relationships, and a reputation for quality and innovation, the business operates at the forefront of aviation ground power and connectivity solutions.
This senior role carries full commercial responsibility for a specialist ground power product portfolio alongside a wider aviation range, combining direct sales leadership with strategic management of a global agent and distributor network. The position plays a key role in driving international growth, developing the aviation sales team, and aligning commercial strategy with the company’s long-term objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Strong knowledge of the aviation market, including OEMs, MROs, airports, and distributor channels
- Proven sales leadership experience within aviation or aerospace manufacturing
- Demonstrated ability to manage and grow global agent and distributor networks
- Solid technical understanding of ground power systems, connectors, and aviation electro-mechanical products
- Strategic and commercially astute, with a track record of driving market growth
- Excellent customer relationship, negotiation, presentation, and reporting skills
- Confident cross-functional collaborator with experience developing and executing sales strategies
- Degree-qualified in Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience; professional sales qualifications, product standards knowledge, and CRM/forecasting experience are advantageous
